Hi family & friends,
I hope you all are happy and well and finding things to enjoy. I would love to hear from you :')
Another week gone, time flies!!! I don't want think transfer to end but it will soon, me oh my! Transfer calls are this week ahhh! I love the HeartLake ward, the friends we are teaching, bumpin' Brampton, and my beautiful companion, Sister Gallup!! God has given me so much and I am really thankful. This week we had some joyous moments.
Back in June we met this guy named Jonny just at the church. He came up and knocked on the church door to ask if he could read and pray with us, so so cool. We weren't able to get in contact with him for months, but just last week he messaged us, and we were able to meet up at the temple. Jonny is so sensitive to the Spirit, he is the most humble person, and expresses so so so so much gratitude. He has an eternal perspective on life, which is so special. On a call this week too, he was just expressing gratitude for the sun, because it reminds him that Heavenly Father is there:) How beautiful is that!!!!
We also had a lesson with our friend Oral in person woohoooo. He is the coolest man on earth! A few weeks ago, we invited him to pray every day and just this week he said thank you because he told us that he really has noticed a difference. Prayer is real, and powerful, and can change our nature!
Last highlight from this weekkk was last night. We got invited to Brother Blenhart's backyard for a cottage evening with Bishop Sherman and the incredible Otesanya family. Brother Blenhart shared his conversion story. He joined through the Osmonds.. maybe Dad will know who they are.. but it was so powerful and neat to hear. THEN we listened to why the Otesanya's decided to join the church and that was so special. Fola explained that they had been to other churches before, but she felt something different this time. I can agree with Fola when she says this because I know this is Christ's restored church on the earth again:)
Lately, my studies have been focused completely on Christ, and His infinite and eternal sacrifice for ALL of us. I love this part from a talk given by Bishop Caussé because it helps us understand how Christ can lift, heal, and help us! He said, "When was the last time you felt the sweet influence of the Savior’s Atonement in your life? This happens when you feel an “exquisite and sweet” joy come over you that bears witness to your soul that your sins are forgiven; or when painful trials suddenly become lighter to bear; or when your heart is softened, and you are able to express forgiveness to someone who has hurt you. Or it may be each time you notice your capacity to love and serve others has increased or that the process of sanctification is making you a different person, patterned after the Savior’s example."
I have felt this
and I know that our Savior, Jesus Christ lives!
I love you alllll, have a fantastic week and don't miss out on general conference this weekend!!!!!! It will be exactly what God needs you to know right now
